Polina Gagarina was born in Moscow, Russia on March 27, 1987. She spent four years of her childhood in Greece where she learned the language and came to love the local culture.
Studied singing at Moscow's State Jazz College. In 2003 became the winner of season two of the famous Star Factory show in Russia under the guidance of producer and composer Maxim Fadeev. Polina was one of the finalists of the New Wave international song contest with her song “Kolybelnaya” (“Lullaby”). Polina then went on to study acting at the Moscow Art Theater.
She became world famous after taking second place representing Russia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. She has taken part in writing songs and music for movies and TV, including the main theme of Battle of Sevastopol, where she performed a cover version of the song “Kukushka” (“Cuckoo”) by Viktor Tsoi. Polina has released three studio albums and dozens of singles. Her songs are adored by millions, with many hitting top of the music charts on the radio and in the digital stores as iTunes, Google Play, etc.
Polina Gagarina has won multiple prizes and awards in musical contests organized by TV and radio stations: the Golden Gramophone Awards, Vysshaya Liga (Top League), Pesnya Goda (Song of the Year), and many others. She performed the official song of the closing ceremony of the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017.
Polina is married to renowned Russian photographer Dmitry Iskhakov. She has two children, a son named Andrey (born 2008) and daughter Mia (born 2017). Polina and Dmitry are frequent guests at social events, expos, and fashion shows.
Polina is one of the most stylish people in the music industry, she is a regular sight at various fashion projects and photoshoots.
She has won several “Woman of the Year” awards from GQ and Glamour. She’s also a lifestyle editor’s favorite cover story.
Polina communicates with her fans through every popular social network: Facebook, VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, Instagram, and YouTube with around 10 million followers in total. All her profile pages are constantly updated and developed, including by Polina Gagarina herself.
Polina has been the face of the “Cleansing + CARE” product line of the Russian cosmetics brand Cherniy Zhemchug (Black Pearl) since 2016.
In 2017 she signed a contract to represent DANONE.
In 2016 she worked together with the L’OREAL Professionel brand.
She has partnerships with Mercedes-Benz, World Class, ALEXANDR TEREKHOV.
Being part of the country’s top show
In the 2015-2016 TV season Polina joined a team of coaches for The Voice show broadcast on Channel One. For two seasons, talents from Russia and abroad competed for the title of best artist.
Polina Gagarina’s singles released in 2017 and 2018 were top of the charts on all digital platforms, on the radio, and on TV.
Polina performs at around 100 shows every year in Russia and abroad.
In the fall of 2017 she had major solo performances at the State Kremlin Palace (Moscow) and at the Grand Concert Hall Oktyabrsky (St. Petersburg).
BIG STADIUM SHOW
On March 30, 2019 Polina will mark her birthday with a brand new solo show at the MEGASPORT arena. The grand show will be the first stadium performance for Polina, and will most definitely be one to remember. Polina will present new songs and engage an audience of twelve thousand people in several performances.
